Description

The position involves the administration of local/remote processing systems and typical system administration functions will include – periodic installation of hardware/software updates, user account maintenance, system backups, assisting with management of the System Security Plan (SSP) and assisting with the design, integration and development of new capabilities within the ground stations.

Interaction with US and coalition military Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) operators and analysts. In addition, the candidate will assist in the production of mission support databases, management/distribution of collected ELINT data, verification of airborne system equipment/operations, coordination with maintenance personnel and trouble-shooting problems with the ground station operations, as necessary

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience, or equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Requires an ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance.

* Preferred 2-5 years of directly related experience, general ELINT production, and computer operations.

* Experience maintaining NIST compliant SSP documentation preferred.

* Knowledge and experience in Red Hat Linux, UNIX system administration is preferred. Programming experience with shell scripting, PHP, Java and HTML extremely helpful.

* Thorough knowledge and understanding of hardware and software principles.

* Must be able to work unsupervised if necessary.

* Must have the initiative and ability to study and learn complex systems with a minimum of instruction.

Position requires an active Top Secret (TS/SCI) DoD Security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ certification.
