Overview:

Responsible for performing Electrical Engineering design for avionics integration and power distribution in the Military Aircraft business area. Support ongoing aircraft systems modifications including electrical requirements application, design, integration, and test. Perform electrical interface and power test planning & verification by test in both a lab and on aircraft, and resolve interface issues.

You will demonstrate success by:

· Designing aircraft avionics and weapon system interfaces accurately and timely to meet customer schedules.

· Designing aircraft power distribution to meet added electrical loads.

· Interpreting system specifications, ICDs, Military Standards and DoD processes.

· Conducting systems engineering process activities for own design needs.

· Addressing interface protection from electromagnetic interference mechanisms.

· Support electrical install team as electrical liaison engineer

· Managing own schedule and budgets.

· Communicating with peers and customers on technical matters.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· BSEE or related technical degree with 2 years experience or an MS with 0-2 years of experience.

· Experience in commercial or military aircraft industry or other military platforms and weapon systems preferred.

· An understanding of both digital and analog interface signals, and limitations such as allowable voltage drop, timing, handshaking, and such.

· Experience in AutoCAD, VE or similar design tools and basic Microsoft Office software applications including Word and Excel.

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

· Must be able to work overtime as required.

· Must be able to travel as necessary.
