Position Description:

This position is for an Electrical Engineer for the Airworthiness Engineering Group at our Greenville, TX facility.

Must be capable of becoming an FAA ODA Unit Member approving aircraft modifications and repairs performed by L-3 on behalf of the FAA. Responsible for technical approval of the electrical aspects of aircraft modifications and repairs performed by L3 for both civil and military aircraft. Will act as certification Task Leader for some projects, tracking programmatic issues involving airworthiness as well as project cost/schedule performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree, preferred in Engineering, with a minimum of nine (9) years of aircraft electrical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with 14 CFR Part 23 or Part 25 requirements is preferred.

Previous experience as a company DER or as a consulting DER with the authority to approve major repairs/major alterations is preferred.

Previous DAS or ODA experience is preferred.

*

Microsoft Office products and be computer literate.

*

Must be able to travel approximately 25% and work overtime as required.

Position requires an active DOD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain the stated clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
