Clinical Management

Overview

The Employee Health Manager is responsible for managing all Employee Health related activities for REACH Medical Holdings. This position also manages certain aspects of the clinical quality review and auditing process.

Responsibilities

Under the general guidance and direction of the Chief Medical Officer will perform the following:

* Provides oversight and direction to the Employee Health Assistant in the process of administration of employee health activities such pre-employment physicals, drug testing and maintaining CAMTs and FAA compliance. Also provides strategic direction on the systems and processes for the employee health function, and the maintenance of employee health documentation and information.
* Will make critical employee health determinations in situations when higher level medical decisions or assessments (outside of normal day to day) need to be made in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer as required.
* Provides support, leadership and mentorship to the Employee Health Assistant.
* Directs the Annual Health Screen process for CAMTs compliance, developing time lines and process for execution by the Employee Health Assistant.
* Responsible for RMH internal and external employee health record audits.
* Participates in CAMTs policy review and updates as it is related to employee health requirements and records.
* Provides administrative level continuous quality improvement (CQI) review on patient transport data as required by the Chief Medical Officer.
* Working with the Chief Medical Officer and Sr. Director of Clinical Services, determines appropriate course of feedback and education, when necessary, as part of the CQI process.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse RN) or Paramedic (EMT-P)) in the State of practice.
* Associates degree or equivalent knowledge and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Minimum of five (5) years critical care, emergency, or flight experience.
* Minimum of two (2) years of flight experience.
* One (1) year of REACH transport experience is preferred.
* Must have expertise in immunizations and infectious disease.
* Knowledge of Workers Compensation laws.
* Knowledge of laws regarding drug testing of new hires and employees, to include Department of Transportation guidelines.
* Demonstrates core knowledge in all clinical specialty areas which REACH serves.
* Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, health care professionals and general public.
* National specialty certification required, CFRN or FP-C preferred.
* Must meet the training and certification requirements established for all REACH transport clinicians.
* Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of practice in good standing

Physical Requirements:

* Requires activities requiring a moderate amount of standing, sitting, and walking.
* Able to conduct activities requiring a moderate to rigorous amount of static pushing, pulling, reaching and lifting (knuckle height and ankle height).
* Capable of lifting 75lbs floor to bench height.
* Ability to hear routine aircraft and medical equipment noises.
* Maintains a “duty” weight in accordance with current company policy.
* Requires close and distant visual capability.
* Frequent hands to key ability (typing).
* Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environmental Conditions: Entails exposure to the following environmental conditions:

* Constant exposure to routine office noises, such as office machines, conversations, foot traffic; moderate electrical or mechanical hazards.
* Some exposure to loud aircraft noise, moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, risk of electrical shock.
* Traveling by air or ground may be required.

Work Place Conditions: The Employee Health Manager’s workplace is an office type environment.

Work Schedule: This exempt, full time position generally adhering to a standard administrative work schedule. However, schedules may occasionally vary according to business need or specific clinical projects and/or audit deadlines.
