Description

L3 Aeromet is a Division of L3 Technologies Aerospace Systems Sector and our main office is located in Tulsa, OK. We provide high technology solutions specializing in EO/IR systems, mission operations, data collection and exploitation, special mission aircraft modification, and systems integration. Our team of scientists, engineers, and technicians provide expert support to the Department of Defense (DoD), government agencies, and aerospace prime contractors.

Electronics Technician requires the fabrication and assembly of electrical and electronic parts, materials, hardware, wiring harnesses, components and sub-assemblies into completed assemblies in the manufacture and modification of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical equipment, consoles, racks, etc.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Performing fabrication, assembly, installation and processing of electrical-electronic parts, materials, hardware, wiring harnesses and components into complete assemblies.

· Laying out and fabricating jig boards used in the fabrication of single and multi-wire harnesses.

· Interpreting electrical-electronic terminology, symbols and codes, technical orders, blueprints, and working with engineering personnel and technicians from preliminary drawings and schematics.

· Obtaining and maintaining certifications essential to accomplish required work.

· Entering and retrieving production data into and from computer systems.

· Performing other work as assigned that is incidental to primary job duties or other assigned work that may be performed safely using tools that are commonly available.

· Clean-up of work areas, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate’s Degree in related discipline and a minimum of 6 years of related electrical assembly experience. Must have the ability to read operation sheets and moderately complex blueprints. Also requires soldering skills, knowledge of electronic components, ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper/ scale, and use formulas. Ability to pass IPC J-STD-001.

Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands. Must be able to communicate effectively and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment. Must be able to obtain a security clearance .
