This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repair of units. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Test products for load capabilities, mechanical characteristics, polarity, voltage, amperage, inductance, shorts, grounds, circuits continuity and physical properties.
* Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits. This position requires troubleshooting to the component level.
* Perform routine repair activities on avionics equipment including surface mount and thru hole solder repair.
* Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
* Comply with all rules and regulations of United Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.
* Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department goal and objectives.
* Check work methods and results for conformance to standards.
* Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
* All aspects related to the process of repairs through the service center including: receiving, inspection, cleaning, tear-down, documentation, repair, reassembly and packaging of parts for return to the customer.
* Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred.

Experience/Qualifications:

* Must have an electronics background with 3+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
* Experience in dielectric and ​​hypot testing and safety measures involved when performing test.
* Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
* Ability to follow testing procedures and be proficient in performing the test.
* Demonstrated proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers including triggering, waveform capture and comparisons.
* Knowledge of electronic theory including microprocessor based products.
* The ability to give direction and guidance in electronic troubleshooting techniques and repair.
* The ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail in order to ensure safety and quality.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
* The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment.
* Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs.
* Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
* The ability to take direction from more experienced coworkers, leads and supervisors.

* Additional Requirements:

* Frequent standing, sitting stooping.
* Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching.
* Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
* Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required.
* Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
* Recommend improvements to EH&S practices in order to create a safer workplace.
