Our Space & Defense Group East Aurora, NY is hiring for an Electronics Packaging Engineer. Help bring the next generation of aerospace motor controllers to market!

We’re looking for an innovative Sr. Electronics Packaging Engineer to play a critical role in taking our Space & Defense Group’s actuation systems to the next level of performance. Moog is a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of high performance motion control products and systems, and the electronic systems that we develop must operate in the most demanding launch and space environments. These systems are absolutely imperative to mission success, and this is where you have an opportunity to make a critical impact.

This role won’t be without its technical challenges though – high power dissipations, high voltages, and extreme thermal and dynamic environments are some of the hurdles you’ll need to overcome. Your experience with high power and/or high voltage systems in military or aerospace electronics hardware mechanical design will play an important part in overcoming these challenges.

Minimum Requirements to be considered…

*

Associates or Bachelors of Technology Degree in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, or Systems Engineering.

*

>15 years of progressive experience in Moog product design development, whereby singular efforts have resulted in the generation of revenue-bearing intellectual property (IP) or patented design concepts

*

> 5 years of experience as a Senior Design Drafter, or equivalent.

*

Knowledgeable of materials and processes relevant to aerospace electronics.

Familiar with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-1540.

*

Experience with contemporary solid modeling tools such as Unigraphics NX.

*

Experience with thermal and structural analysis of aerospace electronics systems is also required.
