Description

Ontic is currently seeking problem solver to join our Engineering team. The idea candidate will have a strong knowledge base in electronic products and a strong trouble shooting skills.

What you will be doing?

* Trouble-shoot assembly/test related problems, as required.
* Assist Purchasing in resolving suppliers’ technical problems, drawing and specification interpretation.
* Develop manufacturing planning for products; improve/modify existing planning as needed.
* Design assembly/test tooling and shop aids, as needed.
* Repair, modify, upgrade electronics test stands and test boxes.
* Ability to develop test tools and scripts.
* Develop/modify BOM on new or existing products.
* Develop/modify technical manuals, issue Service Letters and Service Bulletins, as needed.
* Understand and participate in Manufacturing/Production Engineering and development through the concurrent (teaming) engineering process daily.
* Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers for new or critical processes.
* Assist Customer Service and Sales in providing technical support to customers.
* Act as back-up for the Engineering Estimator and assist in estimating process.
* Oversee the production processes (including outside processing) with Quality, as required.
* Initiate and participate in the controlled document change process (ECR, ECN), as required

Qualifications

Your toolbox:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
* Min. 1-2 years experience in aerospace manufacturing, planning, testing and fabrication, working with electronics components.
* Ability to select alternate/substitute electronics components where obsolete components exist, and provide electronics technical support to customers, suppliers, and in-house technicians.
* Component level & system level troubleshooting for digital, analog and micro-processor based electronics.
* Familiarity with, and a working knowledge of the use of analog and digital measuring instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, DMM’s, VOM’s and other related electronics equipment.
* Knowledge of the FAA repair station procedures and regulations.
* Effective communication and ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
* Project management skills.
