You will demonstrate success by:

We are searching for an Electronic Technician II that p articipates in the maintenance and operation of all training devices and equipment installed at the training site. Adheres to established preventive maintenance procedures and schedules. Follows corrective maintenance policies and procedures.

Independently plans and complete projects of varying scope and complexity. Complexity of assignments typically requires considerable creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, resolve design and operational problems, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable. May train or be assisted by less experience technicians. Performs, at this level, one or a combination of such typical duties as:

* Plans approach to solve design or other parts related issues: conceives and recommends new design solutions, and assures compatibility of design with other parts of the system

* Coordinates test set ups to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary design; improves the performance of the equipment. Advise equipment users on solutions to solve unique operational deficiencies

* Documents changes in technical support package (e.g. drawings, maintenance manuals, and acceptance test procedures)

* Supports contract personnel with design, installation, test, debug and documentation for modifications to the training devices

* Plans approach and conducts various test to resolve equipment or systems malfunctions.

Qualifications

* Completed at least one of the following: an AA/AS degree in an electronics technology; or received military electronics technical training; or obtained equivalent training/experience

* Familiar with Windows Professional, hydraulic motion, control loading, and visual display systems is a plus

* Experience with aviation training systems is a plus

* Ability to troubleshoot and repair analog and digital electronics

* Experience using digital multi-meters, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, light meters, logic analyzers, sine wave generators and other test equipment required

* Performs other related collateral and ancillary duties as required

* Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance
