We are looking for a talented Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our Atlanta based Engineering team. As member of the Hardware Development team you will be deeply involved in the support and design of all products for Telular.
Responsibilities:
• Aid in the support and design of products.
• Perform design activities focusing on digital and analog microprocessor/embedded systems, and involving high speed interfaces such as Ethernet and wireless modules, as well as battery charging, audio and telco line interfaces.
• Provide product support from design through manufacturing.
• Schematics design, PCB layout, components selection, simulations, and BOM and ECO creation.
• Define, direct, and participate in the design verifications testing of new products.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure complete functional coverage. Document test plan results.
• Write test firmware and test scripts.
• Interface with external vendors and internal departments as required to help facilitate the design and implementation of the product from concept to production.
• Provide status reports are directed.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of a BSEE.
• 3+ years of hardware design experience with micro-controller-based products.
• Familiar with schematic capture and PCB design CAD software. (Experience with ORCAD Schematic Capture, ORCAD PCB Design, and/or Allegro are a plus.)
• Familiar with test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and/or spectrum analyzer.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, etc) or similar software.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python and C.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 3-5 years of experience in the wireless industry (GSM or CDMA) is a plus.
