Job Summary

The Avionics Power Electronics Center is highly skilled engineering organization within Collins Aerospace, supporting the military and commercial aviation businesses by designing high-reliability power electronics solutions. APEC provides a rare environment for the interested candidate to rapidly develop power electronics hardware design knowledge and experience through mentoring and team technical growth initiatives. The primary function provided by APEC is power electronics hardware design, but functions also include advanced technology development, strategic sourcing, and technical project management.

Job Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate:

Must be interested in power electronics design (power supplies, EMI filters, etc.).

Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working in a multi-disciplined team environment with a positive attitude and perform effectively.

Have good oral and written communication skills for conveying technical approaches, trade-offs, risk assessments, and recommendations.

Be willing mentor/mentee, multitasks successfully, and is adaptable to the changing demands of a competitive corporate environment.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

Interest in power electronics and analog design (power supplies, EMI filters, etc.)
