The Electrical Design Engineering team at Moog Aircraft Group is positioned for growth. We are looking for an Analog Design Engineer to design, analyze and specify analog circuitry for control boxes that drive actuators based on sensor and command signals. This position is located at our aerospace facility in Torrance, CA. Moog Aircraft Group is the leader of advanced flight controls for commercial and military aircraft. As an Analog Design Engineer, you will… * Design, Analyze and Specify analog circuitry for control boxes that drive actuators based on sensor and command signals. * Analog circuits – sensor interface linear circuits, actuator linear and discrete drives, external discrete inputs, external discrete outputs, analog to digital circuits, digital to analog circuits. * Analyze – Analysis and documentation includes but not limited to sensitivity or tolerance, power dissipation, power consumption, stability, delay, filtering, bandwidth, and grounding. * Specify – Input circuit parameters, output circuit parameters, path gains, filtering, bandwidth delays, and grounding. * Design – Schematic diagrams, flow diagrams, and block diagrams. * Test and lab plans * Specify printed circuit board design requirements for analog circuits (Placement, traces, and routing). * Placement constraints * Trace parameters like widths spacing, and impedances. * Routing layer constraints. * Lab testing and troubleshooting circuits described above. Minimum (Basic) qualifications to be considered... * Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering * 5 or more years of electrical (analog) design engineering experience * Due to government/DoD contract requirements, must be a US Citizen; cannot hold dual citizenship Preferred Qualifications Include... * Experience with the design and analysis of Op Amp signal conditioning, filters (passive and active), transistor (Bipolar or MOSFET) discrete driver circuits. * Experience with the design and analysis of analog to digital converter circuits, digital to analog converter circuits, linear output driver circuits, LVDT/RVDT demodulation circuits * Experience with linear simulation tools such as Pspice and others * Experience with schematic and layout tools (Allegro/Cadence) * Hands on lab experience testing and troubleshooting circuits * Knowledge of power supply designs, topology and analysis is helpful * Knowledge of PWM control driver circuits is a plus * Knowledge of EMI/EMC (DO-160, MIL-STD-461) is helpful At Moog we work in an environment where people trust, respect and encourage one another.
