General responsibilities of the position: The candidate will be responsible for two inspection team, one responsible for production engines, the other for experimental engines. The candidate will also be the main contact point for both, external and internal customers, as well as for his/her employees and superiors. Specific responsibilities of position: • Responsible for the management of employees, including hiring, training, work-shift management/assignments, work assignment & performance evolutions.
• Efficient communications with both, production and experimental assembly teams
• Active participation in continuous improvement intiatives
• Ensure uninterrupted production flow during assigned work-shifts and meeting operational goals whilst maintaining team motivation.
• Promotes EH&S best practices and is involved in associated preventative measure
• Empowers group leaders & employees.
• Creates & implements project management plans & associated time-line(s)
• Trains & mentors employees
• Manages organizational changes
Qualifications required: • DEC, or Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment, with a minimum of 3 years as a supervisor.
• Knowledge of quality requirements & processes in the aerospace industry (an advantage)
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, and of SAP (an advantage)
• Bilingual (french/English);
• Team oriented, autonomous with a strong sense of ethics
• Can easily contend with a constantly evolving environment and tight schedules
