We have the following position available on a contract basis. Candidates MUST be available for an IMMEDIATE start


Context:

  1. Responsible for ensuring all work-packs and maintenance documentation is populated and delivered to the Operations department in order to carry out all maintenance activities.
  2. Responsible for the review of all returned and compiled documentation to the Documentation Cell.

Purpose of Role:

  1. To utilise allocated manpower and resources to efficiently to ensure the maintenance tasks on the aircraft are completed in accordance with the Output 1 Maintenance Plan and MRP 145.
  2. To provide trilogy View supporting documentation, which will enable the maintenance team to remain on task and sign for works undertaken.
  3. To provide a 100% check of maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy and correct compilation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Maintenance packages of work/and any Technical Instructions by:
    1. Provide schedule maintenance work cards using the current job card management software.
    2. Ensure LITS is updated in line with maintenance activities.
    3. Ensure the SCAR database is updated
    4. Ensure defect cards are raised
    5. Providing Trilogy View documentation in support of task / defect cards.
    6. Ensure any Technical Instruction is captured and documented with the findings returned to Eng Ops when required.
    7. Review all returned documentation:
      1. Carry out 100% check on all returned documentation and highlight any anomalies with the Planning Chargehand in order for the work-pack to be returned and completed correctly.
      2. Ensure any UANs or documentation updates are reviewed and the Planning Chargehand is aware in order to ensure personnel are working to the most current Aircraft Data Set.
      3. Lead, direct and take day to day line management responsibility for Leading hands within their area of responsibility including:
        1. Ensuring the promotion of, and compliance with, all applicable Quality, Safety, Engineering and Company procedures, HR/Admin, Finance and other requirements.
        2. Assisting with managing absence from work by ensuring the Planning Chargehand is made aware of any instances of sickness, diversions or leave of any person within their control
        3. Assisting with managing good time keeping by ensuring that start, break and finish times are adhered to and that informal and formal action is taken as necessary to ensure good time keeping
        4. Management and development of team members including, conducting personal development reviews
        5. Ensuring that all team members are authorised for the tasks that they are undertaking and that their authorisations are up to date and applicable
        6. Work pro-actively and cooperatively as a member of the whole aircraft maintenance team by:
          1. Liaising with other Senior Leading hands and Chargehands to address any documentation errors/findings
          2. Being flexible and capable of taking responsibility for carrying out duties in other areas of work, when directed by the Planning Chargehand or a member of the management team
          3. Attending all scheduling meetings and challenging tasks considered incorrect in terms of estimates and schedule
          4. Conduct or support technical, safety and other investigations when required to do so
          5. Lead or support the implementation of remedial action from investigations
          6. Carry out other tasks commensurate with the level of responsibility, as directed by Management.
          7. Deputise for Planning Chargehand when required.
          8. Contributing in a positive manner to the maintenance of a harmonious working relationship with the client and all other Stakeholders within the Sentry Maintenance Community.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  1. Excellent knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Documentation
  2. Experience of LITS and IT systems
  3. Extensive knowledge and understanding of MRP Part 145 regulatory requirements or EASA Part 145
  4. British Safety Council Level 2 Award in Supervising Staff Safely or equivalent

  5. Good people management skills, able to deal effectively with staff queries and concerns, handle informal and first level formal disciplinary and grievance situations and carry out PDRs in line with company policy and procedure.
