About this role
Our extended family at Tigerair are searching for a Director of Safety Systems to join their team! Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly-regarded senior role is responsible for the strategic and business management of the Tigerair Safety, Business Risk, Assuance, Security and Investigation functions. This role also maintains the strategic control and delivery of contracted safety, security, and quality services requirements.
Please note that this role is based at the Tigerair offices in Tullamarine, Melbourne.
What you’ll be involved in day to day:
* Effective implementation of a Safety, Security, Risk & Assurance Governance structure that promotes transparency and accountability throughout the organisation and through to the Board;
* Delivering an effective Risk Management framework, incorporating hazard identification;
* Delivering the SMS and ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place that demonstrates compliance with safety standards and delivers the required evidence of the achieved safety level;
* Developing and promoting a Safety, Security and Learning culture by ensuring there is adequate training and open communication;
* Building relationships with Virgin Australia stakeholders to drive synergies benefit outcomes;
* Developing relationships and liaising with CASA, OTS and the ATSB;
* Leading a Security and Safety team.
