Loganair’s charter and contract operations today encompass flying for a range of major UK and European corporations, oil and gas industry clients, sports teams and special interest groups. We’re now seeking a motivated, experienced individual with a strong track record in aviation to manage this important and growing sector of our business.
You will ideally have direct experience of developing and managing relationships with key customers, managing high-value, long-term contracts to meet the commercial, financial and operational expectations of both Loganair and our valued customers.
Excellent communication and presentational skills are a pre-requisite for the role, and you must be able to demonstrate a clear ability to interact well with both colleagues and customers at all levels of the respective organisations. When working to secure new contracts, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of our proposals and so you’ll need to be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
In the highly competitive environment in which we operate and compete, it’s essential that you will also have a working knowledge across the whole sector, whether through the oil and gas industry, the ad-hoc charter market or contract flying for major corporations.
The role can be based in Glasgow or Aberdeen, to suit the individual; whichever base you choose, it is expected that you will spend reasonable time in the other location to fulfil the role and interact with customers and internal stakeholders. It’s a senior role within the airline which will also require excellent all-round influencing and decision-making skills together with an ability to lead and motivate a small team of direct reports.
