Digital Marketing Product Owner

Mission:

The purpose of the Digital Marketeer and Product Owner role is twofold:

1) In line with the digital marketing plan and business objectives, you manage and evolve the direct marketing channel (email marketing, sms, whatsapp etc.) and leverage data to deliver highly dynamic and personal communications throughout the booking process – and beyond. (ca. 70% of role)

You are the product owner of our marketing automation tool (currently Selligent platform), which means you ensure database maintenance; improvement of the tool (e.g. sms channel or whatsapp integration). You are equally in charge of access management and governance of the tool in order to ensure GDPR compliancy. In addition, you work on the enrichment and growth of our databases together with our internal stakeholders (CRM, loyalty, online retail, customer experience, digital servicing…) and external partners (technology platforms…)

After development and implementation, you ensure roll-out to the business for their day-to-day operational use.

You play an active role in shifting towards a segmented approach and implementing a future proof automated inbound marketing strategy for Brussels Airlines, together with the CRM and Digital Marketing team including the setup of a master campaign planning for trigger-based and always-on email marketing campaigns.

You will setup marketing pressure and priority rules.

2) You provide support to the Digital Marketing Manager in day to day activities and campaigns, both with internal stakeholders as well as with external agencies.

You will also help the Digital Marketing Manager to create useful & insightful reports of our digital marketing campaigns. (ca. 30% of role).

Key Result Areas:

Direct Marketing (currently including Email marketing + SMS)

* Coordinate database integration (Miles & More, PNR data, Loop, b.family) ensuring GDPR compliancy.

* Together with CRM team you will extend channels/touchpoints.

* After input of CRM and Digital Marketing Manager, create & share custom audiences in order to better segment our digital campaigns across channels

* Work with the Ancillary team to create a direct marketing flow to grow revenues

* Support CRM team on live test related to SMS and E-mail.

* Enrich databases to improve data quality for various purposes

* Setup a cross-business marketing pressure and priority rules strategy

* Carry out methodology for AB testing

* Establish a governance for our technology platform (access, maintenance, nomenclature)

1) Digital Marketing support: ensure day-to-day activities which may range from:

* Support for affiliation program (e.g. approve commissions & validate new affiliates; answer affiliates questions, queries; provide new banners for affiliates etc.).

* Support in execution of digital marketing campaigns( both always-on or ad hoc) i.e. coordination between internal teams (marketing, RM, CRM, ..) and external agencies.

2) Reporting digital campaign activities

* Handle regular reporting on paid & own traffic sources performances towards KPI.

* Analysis of results, insights & make recommendation to all involved stakeholders for next campaigns based on observations.

Profile:

* Master level with e.g. marketing / economics / mathematics background;

* 3 years of experience within a digital and preferably international environment & e-commerce context;

* Good understanding of database management (SQL knowledge is a plus) and marketing automation platforms;

* Ability to turn data insights into business opportunities;

* Digital savvy, affinity with digital channels and innovations and latest trends in digital advertising and inbound marketing;

* Demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills;

* Strong knowledge of Selligent platform is key;

* Google Analytics Certified is a plus;

* Knowledge of affiliation platforms such as AWIN is a plus;

* Knowledge of MS Office;

* Fluent in English both spoken and written. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a must;

* A strong self-driven and getting-things-done attitude with the ability to prioritize work based on business impact in a fast paced environment;

* Good team player with the ability to work autonomously;

* Eye for detail without losing sight of “the big picture”;

* Accurate, well organized and a strong ability to prioritize respecting tight deadlines;
