Our client is a world leader in the Aircraft Seating Area and they are actively seeking a Design Technical Support Engineer within a mechanical background

The role of the Design Technical Support Engineer is to be involved with the development and implementation of product improvements in existing Galley products to address issues identified by Customer Services.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

*Investigation and implementation of improvements and modification of existing designs as a result of customer enquiries or issues raised by manufacturing / inspection departments.
*To support investigation and creation of design change process documentation for legacy equipment.
*To travel as required to support customer meetings and investigations concerning technical matters and in service issues.
*Attending any relevant OEM or regulatory required training courses.
*To support Customer Services in the creation of technical support documentation such as Service Bulletins and Service Information Letters.
*To support colleagues regarding maintenance data (Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins) queries in conjunction with the Customer Services organization.
*To support the creation of repair information for both the Service Centre and equipment operators.
*Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
*To support team members with other tasks as and when necessary.
*To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures.
*To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
