Design Engineer - Southend on Sea

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis, working as part of a dynamic Engineering team based at the companies head offices in Southend on Sea.

The role
As part of the Engineering team and reporting directly into the Engineering Manager the Mechanical Design Engineer will support the senior design team in all engineering design activities, relating to product design.
- creation and modification of CAD models, drawings and assemblies in 3D CAD, Catia.
- detail design of component parts and minor assemblies
- investigating of manufacturing and assembly issues

You
We would like to encourage applications from individuals who have a demonstrable background in Mechanical Design using 3D CAD package, it would be advantageous to have a background in the Aviation industry, however this is not essential and other engineering sectors will also be considered.

Skills/Qualifications
HNC/HND Mechanical Eng
BSc/BEng in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable
Use of 3D CAD systems, Catia preferred others would be considered
PC Literate

Salary 30-36k depending on experience
