Design Engineer

Position Description: O’Brien Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer with experience in the design and manufacture of custom engineered products. This engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and will be involved in all engineering aspects at the site. Responsibilities: • Creates Engineering Drawings • Item Master and Bill of Material Creation and Maintenance • Prioritizes Daily Work of Designers • Maintains Design Standards • Provides Engineering Support to Manufacturing • Creates Purchasing Specifications • Manages Engineering Projects • Lean Process Support • Special Projects as Assigned by the Engineering Manager • Engineering data analysis • Lean Process Support • Completing special projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering • 3 years of experience as a design engineer for a manufacturing company • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Autodesk Vault • Experience with an MRP/ERP system such as Navision • Experience with ISO 9001 in a manufacturing environment • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Must be willing to travel (<10%) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
