Description
Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will have the opportunity and satisfaction to be involved in large-scale projects starting from the conceptual design phase through manufacturing and testing. You will work with industrial designers and system engineers developing modern and stylish interiors for rapid transit vehicles.
You will be well organized and schedule driven being able to make sound engineering decisions based on customer requirements, cost and manufacturing efficiency to deliver a quality and reliable product to the mass-transit market.
In your role you will:

Design and integrate vehicle interior components in line with Industrial Design Description provided by the Industrial Designer, the Train Mechanical Description provided by the vehicle Architects and the Customer Specification;

Design and integrate conceptual and detailed 3D models of vehicle interior components such as paneling, ducting and flooring with the help of 3D modeling specialists;

Integrate supplier components into the vehicle in collaboration with Systems Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering and Suppliers;

Evaluate proposed product design prior to production for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards and specifications and conduct Internal Design Reviews;

Investigate problems related to design and production, and initiate the appropriate corrective action;

Approve design changes and drawing releases.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate:
-
You hold a Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
-
You have minimum of two (2) years of experience in engineering in the specific technical domain;
-
You have a good knowledge of composites, sheet metal, aluminum and plastics;
-
You own analytical software skills: MS Office, PowerPoint, CATIA V5 and 3DCOM;
-
You have excellent English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
