About Your Job

As a Data Strategy & Development Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating on the setup and maintenance of a repository of data relevant to the targets of the department as well as supporting the department with the necessary data extracts,

reports and data mining. You will support the management with the implementation and running of the data strategy set for the department and with the periodical requirements of the data strategy and development section. 

Responsibility: 

  • Maintains an optimal universe of data relevant to the company and the function of the department on a day-to-day basis by making sure that data is readily accessible and clean from errors and missing pieces.
  •  Assists the Senior Sales Planning Analyst specifically for quantitative analyses.
  • Collaborates with the implementation and periodical creation of the KPI and any other dashboards or indicators the department generates for its own operation  or in support of the sales organization. 
  • Collaborates with the analysis of the department by leveraging the skills in statistics , trends spotting, probabilities, seasonality adjustments, correlations, etc and other scientific approaches to generate insights for the department. 

  Responsible for the production of various analytical reports including:

-       Regular performance reports (customer performance, product performance, cargo sales performance etc…)

-       Performance forecast

-       Sales Target monitoring and strategic initiatives follow-up

-       Budget preparation

-       Strategy recommendations

-       Ad hoc requests from Global Sales divisions and / or Cargo Senior Management 

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2-4 years of job related experience.  You will need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in data analysis and information driven disciplines such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Systems Engineering, Computational Science or Informatics. A Post Graduate Degree would be preferred.

The successful applicant is expected to provide accurate regular reports and an in-depth analysis whenever required. He or she is also expected to perform to the highest standards the work assigned by the Senior Sales Planning Analyst. You must be comfortable with manipulating large data sets, an expert in excel (needs to know VBA and programming), and able to apply advanced forecasting methodologies. You should be capable of interpreting numbers in a language that can be understood at different levels, and be skilled in transforming numbers into strategy. Experience in setting up an SQL end user interface and working with such data is important in this role.

Experience and knowledge of using data applications such as Cognos, TM1, Business Objects, ER, SAS will be preferred.
