Customer Service Officer - Melbourne

Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 58 destinations throughout all states in Australia.

An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join the Regional Express Melbourne Airport Team in the role of a Part-Time Customer Service Officer working approximately 28-35 hours, across 5 days per week.

Reporting
This position reports to the Melbourne Airport Manager.

Position Responsibility
•Provide check-in activities for Regional Express services at Melbourne Airport.
•Reservation and ticket sales including collection of monies.
•Pre and post flight duties.
•Editing flights.
•Sales reporting and recording functions as appropriate.
•Assist dispatch of aircraft.
•Computer system operations (SABRE).
•Boarding Control including airside security.
•Other procedures and activities determined on a local basis where appropriate (e.g. Rex lounge); and
•Comply with requirements set out in the company’s safety policy and standard operating procedures.

Essential Selection Criteria
•SABRE system check-in experience mandatory.
•Previous airline co-ordination/operations experience preferred.
•Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
•Able to work shift work that includes early starts, evenings and weekend work.
•Ability to work in a team environment and a commitment to on time performance.
•Previous customer service experience mandatory.
•Well developed written and oral communication skills.
•Computer literacy of a high degree.
•Ability to work unsupervised.
