About us:

Crew Planning Services is responsible for the short to long-term planning for Flight and Cabin Crew for our regional, domestic, short and long haul international operations. Our department comprises of a dedicated team of crew analysts, crew training planners and crew roster planners responsible for the provision, advice and delivery of aircrew rosters and to support the coordination and planning of crew training requirements.

About the role:

The Crew Analyst – Short Term role partners with Airline Operations, Flight and Cabin Crew leaders and various stakeholders across the Virgin Australia business to develop workforce solutions that support our complex and diverse business requirements.

Some of the exciting challenges in this role are; production and management of short, medium and long term resource plans and workforce planning modelling, productivity targets, training requirements, cost and budgetary control, regulatory and EBA compliance, fatigue management and long term strategic workforce planning in a constantly changing environment.

About you:

To achieve success in this role you will be able to;

* Conduct detailed analysis of Pairing Solutions to monitor costs, utilisation, lifestyle issues and fatigue management

* Conduct analysis of trends that impact resource requirements and provide potential solutions

* Compare pre and post roster publications alongside completed rosters. Identify trends and implement changes to meet the operational requirement

* Provision of accurate and concise periodic reports that focus on costs, crew productivity, crew availability and coverage, and agreed requirements

* Prepare detailed analysis to support annual and quarterly reforecast budget cycle

* Production of complete crew solutions for all crew groups within deadlines, observing company targets for productivity and cost control whilst balancing requirements for operational robustness and crew engagement

What else you’ll need:

* Understanding of aircrew resource planning processes, theories and methodologies

* Knowledge of aircrew resource management systems (Sabre AirCrews) and optimisation systems (Kronos Altitude Pairing & PBS)

* Airline industry operations and/or planning experience
