Position Overview:
To support and maintain a Configuration Management System (CMS), in support of the CP140/A weapon system, and to provide CM support to all functional areas within DAEPM(M) 2.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Implement and maintain a successful CMS for the CP140/A aircraft in satisfaction of the CP140/A Configuration Management Plan (CMP)
* Update the CP140/A CMP in response to changes in policy, procedure or technology.
* Conduct required CM activities in support of the CP140 AW Program
* Assist the Configuration Control Boards via attendance and provision of data, as required, to support the CCB activity.
* Support to the AW Program by providing required input to the AAR-Tech.
* Support DND with the selection of Cis and the assignment of CI Identifiers
* Update and maintain the current configuration status using the current approved CM Tools (CM Panel, EPA and PDMPlus)
* Review and maintain the Special Inspection(s) files, ensuring required input is received and files are closed in a timely manner.
* Coordinate MOB Non-Standard repairs, initiating CF RESs as and when required.
* Update and maintain configuration status accounting (CSA) to provide current status information on all proposed and approved changes.
* As required, support physical and functional configuration audits by DAEPM(M) 2 LCMMs and IMP AMSs.
* Coordinate and maintain the CP140 AMAF files, ensuring AW requirements are satisfied and closure is completed in a timely manner. Coordinate with AMAF OPIs as required.
* Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the CM TSR, "On-line access" to the CP140/A CM database (PDMPlus) at IMP.
* Update and document CM processes and procedures in support of Quality Standard AF9000 PLUS.
* Provide back-up for the CP140 Data Manager as required.
* NSR update (PDMPlus) and coordination within DAEPM (M) 2.
* Assignment, as required, of AF9000 CMPC, APAF and CF RES numbers.
* Other activities as assigned by DND on-site Supervisor or by IMP CM/DM Manager.
Position Requirements:
* Technologist or equivalent in experience and training.
* Formal course in advanced principles of Configuration Management
* A comprehensive knowledge of CM practices, using the latest automated techniques
* Seven (7) years experience in aircraft Configuration Management required, three (3) of which should be hands on work exposure to the CP 140/P3 aircraft.
* Three (3) years experience in DND Aircraft Engineering Administration or Project Management is an asset.
* A thorough understanding of MIL-STD-973 and the industry standards for CM.
* Comfortable in an automated office environment.
* Familiar with software applications applicable to configuration management.
* Dedicated and self-motivated individual, who is able to work with minimal supervisor.

* Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities in your area.
* Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances
