Configuration Manager

ISR & Space Systems designs and manufactures environmental and thermal control systems for both domestic and international clients including NASA and the US Navy. We presently have an opening for an experienced configuration manager in Windsor Locks, CT.

Configuration managers are part of the engineering organization and are responsible for managing drawing releases, engineering change and other engineering artifacts in support of customer contractual obligations. Responsibilities focus on engineering configuration management compliant with the requirements of MIL-STD-973, EIA-69 and ISO10007. This includes management of specifications, procedures, and configuration management work instructions. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have demonstrated experience in CREO and PLM/Windchill environment. Experience with DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System) is also a plus.

The configuration management team is deployed to programs across the business unit. The configuration manager is a key member of an Integrated Product Development team providing the expertise to ensure drawings and engineering changes are processed in a timely manner.
Qualification: Exceptional communication skills and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment is essential for the successful candidate.
Proficiency is the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is expected.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with the following:
* engineering configuration management compliant with the requirements of MIL-STD-973, EIA-69 and ISO10007.

Education: BS or BA in business or related discipline| Minimum 2 years of configuration management experience
