COMPLIANCE OFFICER

THE ROLE

 

Based at either Stansted or Luton Airport, this role reports to the Compliance Manager. The key accountability for this role is to support the Compliance department in the maintenance of the company approvals within the Engineering and Operations business structures.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Report to the Compliance Manager on all matters pertaining to compliance with the relevant regulation and standard requirements.

  2. Assist in the compiling of manuals and in-house procedures to meet the intent of recognised standards that the Company adopts.

  3. In conjunction with the Compliance Manager, manage such compliance monitoring systems and procedures that are deemed necessary to maintain the company regulatory approvals.

  4. Undertake Compliance internal and external audits, as required.

  5. Liaise with external customers and services providers as necessary.

  6. Perform out of hours duties as dictated by the business where necessary.

  7. Compile and maintain audit programmes in conjunction with Compliance Manager.

  8. Assist in conducting company authorisation examinations / interviews.

  9. Assist as necessary, - with the investigation and reports to satisfy the requirements of the company occurrence reporting processes.

  10. Encourage a ‘just’ reporting culture with regard to safety issues.

  11. Identify process improvements in conjunction with management. 

  12. Utilise and maintain the Compliance management recording / reporting system to record audits, associated findings, provide feedback / reports as necessary to the relevant managers / business units.

  13. Ensure Safety Notices are raised and distributed as necessary.

     

HOURS OF WORK

Full-time position working 42 hours per week-Monday to Friday.  You are expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and work demand.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Preferably a knowledge of aviation regulations, e.g.  EASA Part 145, Part M.

  • Experience and exposure within an aviation Operations environment would be ideal.

  • Auditing experience.

  • A knowledge and demonstrable experience of maintaining accurate and effective recording systems.

  • Experience with Q Pulse software would be an advantage.

  • The successful candidate for this demanding role, shall be flexible, diplomatic and have the ability to prioritise and problem solve, demonstrate good communication skills and able to work autonomously managing a varied workload.
