CNC Machinist

Position Overview:

CNC machinist capable of programming and setting CNC mills and lathes to make precision parts. Must have experience working with Mastercam and Solidworks. Must have a good understanding of machine tool capabilities and limitations. Must also be capable of working to verbal instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

10 to 15 years experience machining parts in a prototype operation. Capable of machining different types of metals and plastics on CNC equipment as well as manual equipment. Capable of functioning in a fast paced operation. Experienced in reading drawings to fabricate parts. Personal hand tools preferred.

Desired Requirements:

1. Experienced working with Haas CNC lathes and mills.
2. Experienced working with various types of metals and plastics.
3. Experienced working in a prototype shop.
4. Experienced fabricating aircraft parts.
5. Experienced working with carbon fiber.
6. Basic understanding of forming sheet metal.
7. Basic welding experience in steel and aluminum.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of lifting 50 lbs. Capable of working on your feet 90% of the day. Capable of working extended hours as needed to support program requirements.

Shift Requirements:

Day shift plus overtime.
