Dublin Airport is currently recruiting a Civil Engineer to join the Airside Facilities team. This is a permanent position and will report to the Senior Airside Engineering Manager. This is a great opportunity toenhance your career within a thriving department.

Qualifications

* Degree in a Civil Engineering
* Experience in an engineering role is desirable but not essential
* Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and MS office suite
* Full clean drivers licence
* Proficiency in the use of Avi-PLAN software is desirable
* An understanding of the safety processes and requirements Airside
* Strong organisational, interpersonal and people management skills
* Excellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* A knowledge of airside operations is desirable
* Drive and enthusiasm
* Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and deliver consistent service

Responsibilities

* Prepare and update a broad range of layout drawings and maps on AutoCAD for the department
* Prepare and implement design solutions for ground service equipment parking, aircraft parking, aircraft manoeuvring etc. as required to support airside operations, internal and external stakeholders
* Assist with overseeing the delivery of airside construction projects to ensure that they comply with all regulatory requirements, standards (ICAO/EASA) and airport directions (D-O Construction Projects) in consultation with the appointed Client Project Owner (CPO)
* Attend and contribute to airside risk assessments for airside construction works or works which require a 3rd party service provider to operate airside. This includes the implementation of agreed measures required to mitigate against risks identified
* Engage with and bench mark against UK and European Airports to apply best practice standards and procedures at Dublin Airport when carrying out maintenance and capital works
* Review, issue and track all site work procedure documentation (SWP) for airside construction projects. Ensuring compliance with DO-Construction Projects, EASA, ICAO, Annex 14 and other appropriate standards
* Raising works orders on the CMMS system and engaging with Airfield Asset Care to schedule and track the works
* Review and authorise permit to work applications made on the P2W system.
* Monitor construction works on site to ensure risk mitigation measures are being implemented during the construction process as agreed during the design process
* Work closely with the Airside Safety team to ensure enhanced safety of the Airside through the management of the Airside Risk Register and continuous improvement of processes/ documentation to facilitate safe airside construction activity and issuing of drawings and documentation.
* Coordinate the management and allocation of airside ground service equipment parking areas and work sites, temporary skips etc. for construction projects
* Assist with Airside Winter Operations planning as required
* Promote safety in all work situations
* Promote an ethos of process improvement within Airside Operations
