FlightSafety International is seeking a Chief Instructor to join our Teterboro Learning Center. This position reports to the Director of Training, and will be dedicated to the management of the 2000EX EASy pilot training programsby performing the following functions:

* Supervise and manage the day-to-day Customer training activities specific to the aircraft program.

* Act as a relationship manager for program-specific customers and/or OEMs. Build positive relationships with clients, customers and/or OEMs assist Sales with generating new business.

* Evaluate, in conjunction with the Director of Standards (DOS), all New-Hire Pilot Instructors at the completion of their initial training and qualification phases and certify them as ready to teach the subjects/courses which they are scheduled to instruct.

* Interview prospective employees, evaluate and recommend employment.

* Provide project direction(s); set priorities and monitor staff achievement.

* Direct and/or facilitate departmental staff meetings.

* Monitor the teaching skills of all Pilot Training Instructors and confer with DOS regarding Instructors’ capability.

* Provide information and resources to individual Instructors in support of the conduct of Customer training.

* Responsible for monitoring and ensuring training compliance with FlightSafety International’s Professional Instructor Handbook.

* Keep current all certificates, ratings and designations required to perform duties as a Ground, Simulator or Flight Instructor.

* Provide project direction(s); set priorities and monitor staff achievement. Manage projects related to courseware revisions and errata. Ensure that training materials are prepared, maintained and used in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

* Direct leadership and instructor meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and unique Customer training issues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Aviation Management preferred

-Military operations or civilian/corporate/airline operations experienced is a plus

- Licenses and certifications – in line with ground and/or simulator instructor job descriptions

- Ability to asses change, delays, and unexpected events and quickly formulate new plans to accomplish all goals and tasks.

- Excellent computer skills to include outlook and excel, and use of scheduling software.

-Excellent communication skills to quickly express time sensitive information when dealing with dynamic situations.
