Excel are currently recruiting for a Chief Inspector/Quality engineer for our valued client based in the North West of the UK to oversee the inspection and quality assurance of the manufacturing of aviation equipment.

This position will manage a small team of inspectors, including the day to day running and scheduling of work for the team covering the quality control activities in support of the manufacturing process, with emphasis on continuous improvement.

You will be conducting first article inspection of parts, sub assemblies and finished products in line with drawings and specifications, ensuring that production quality standards are met, as well as managing quality data to encourage improvement across the business.

You will hold or have held an EASA Form 1 release signatory for new and repaired equipment and be well versed in quality system auditing to EN9100, EASA Part 21G and 145 regulations and have a sound enigneering background with a minimum of 10 years experience in the field.

In return, you can expect a salary of around £45k dependent on experience, and have the remit to continue the growth of the business through exceptional engineering practices.
