Education:
* BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required < 0-3 years of applicable software development experience
Required Technical Skills:
* Skilled with the Java programming language.
* Understanding of product development principles and practices including Test Driven Development.
* Excellent object oriented design skills.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Able to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication skills across a wide audience.
Preferred Technical Skills/Education:
* Data analytics
* Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Angular, Ajax, REST, JSP, Java servlets and other web based technologies
* Mobile application development (iPhone, Android, Windows phone)
* Swing programming
* Linux development
* Unit and functional testing using Mockito, PowerMock, or Spock Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Building and/or HVAC systems design and analysis.
* Understanding of complex building mechanical systems and state-of-the-art energy efficiency technologies.
* Knowledge in network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP
* Understanding of Relational and NoSQL database concepts
* Strong background in programming: Java (J2SE), C, C++, .Net, Gradle, Groovy
* Protocol analysis: BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, UDP/IP
This candidate must be highly motivated, organized, function in a team environment, eager to learn with strong analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
