Swiss WorldCargo is looking for an additional Inside Sales & Operation staff for the Boston Logan-Airport office.

In this diverse and challenging role you are in daily contact with business customers, handling partners andinternal colleagues around the globe. You are responsible for flight reservations of air cargo shipments departingfrom Boston into our network of 130 destinations worldwide. As a member of our team of 4, you support theoperational supervision, and you will also be involved in the promotion of the Swiss WorldCargo product andservice portfolio with our customer base of international transportation companies. The job holder reports to theCargo Manager Boston.

Your Duties

Commercial Tasks and Duties

* Act as interface for business operations between customers and Swiss WorldCargo
* Efficiently manage customer inquiries, reservations, irregularities by using all channels of communication
* Enable professional customer service to cargo clients in the sales area
* Participate in telephone sales actions and other short-term marketing activities
* Support marketing communication to foster positive customer awareness on SWC news and services
* Ensure appropriate information exchange with all colleagues and all interfacing organizations: Local sales teams, other departments, head office, other stations in the network, handling agents etc.
* Strengthen outdoor sales efforts by supporting in rate quotes, adhoc rate negotiations, market intelligence as well as potential customer visits

Operational Tasks and Duties

* Represent the operational interests of Swiss WorldCargo towards handling agents
* Provide instructions to handling agent (e.g. dispositions, pre-advice notifications for special cargo)
* Handling agent supervision: ensure compliance to regulations, instructions (e.g. CHM, AHM, DG…)
* Assure that the services provided by handling agents meet Swiss WorldCargo’s highest quality standards: e.g. flown as booked levels, maximize capacity utilization
* Take proactive action when operational constraints are expected: irregularity prevention/mitigation also during events of “force majeure” (e.g. weather influence, strikes, aircraft change, etc.)
* Ensure applicable procedures and regulations are adhered to: IATA-regulations, TSA, LX, country specific etc.)
* Take initiative to support in administrative and IT-related topics to enable department’s efficiency

Requirements

* Associates degree preferred
* Ideally experienced in one or more of the following environments: customer service, air cargo, aviation, logistics, operations
* Good interpersonal communication skills verbal and written (email, phone)
* Impeccable customer service attitude
* Initiative, reliable and quality oriented working attitude
* Good organizational skills- Flexibility to work on different functions within the department
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team, loyal
* Ability to convincingly promote the quality image of Swiss WorldCargo
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Good command of English language: fluent in speaking and writing
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Ability to travel internationally
* Comfortable working in a challenging but exciting business environment
