Buyer / Material Controller (Interim role with the possibility of becoming permanent)


A vacancy exists for an experienced, confident, hard working individual within a procurement team of committed people supporting a busy and fast moving aerospace environment located in Cambridge with Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group.

The role incorporates all aspects of purchasing and management of supply chain performance including, obtaining and assessing quotations, placing purchase orders, expediting, management of preferred supplier contracts and continuous improvement.

Regular contact with customers, suppliers and other internal departments is required, so good communication skills and a willingness to support the team is essential. A good understanding of the aerospace industry and procuring from international sources would be desirable.

Experience of working with procurement management systems and Microsoft applications is essential.
