About the role:

This role will see you join Virgin Australia’s newly formed Continuous Improvement team and be responsible for identifying quantifiable opportunities for improvement. You will review and analyse current business processes and practises – mapping “As Is” and recommending “To Be” business processes.

You will be the conduit between the Business subject matter experts and the Continuous Improvement Team, supporting and guiding business problem solving utilising proven improvement methodologies. Other key responsibilities will include:

* Facilitating business process mapping workshops as required

* Contributing to the measurement of expected benefits.

* Performing analysis and reporting on cost-benefit and return on investment for proposed system and process changes

* Reporting on business process and continuous improvement activities as required.

What you’ll need:

* Demonstrated ability to expertly understand business needs and translate into business processes

* Extensive experience in the use of business process and system mapping techniques, eg BPMN, and demonstrated skill in the application of these tools with multiple stakeholders.

* Demonstrated success in being able to conceptualise complex technical issues and resolve issues quickly

* Ability to perform process updates to a high level of accuracy

* Ability to conduct research into systems issues and processes as required

* Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new process mapping software

* Demonstrated knowledge of full suite of Microsoft Office tools
