Business Analyst Project Leader Senior Expert 80100

Position description

You are a strong project manager who wants to drive innovative projects in the airline business. We provide a broad range of projects and a very motivating working environment.

As Business Analyst and Project Leader Senior Expert, you are responsible to initiate, analyze, concretize project ideas and drive them to successful implementations. You are part of the Business Project Management Pool in the IT to Business Alignment unit and lead a variety of projects in the Airline IT domain. You work as the IT contact person in close cooperation with the relevant business units and IT management including the Lufthansa Group. You collect, analyze and optimize business processes, structures and resources. As a Project Manager you take ownership for delivery and you are responsible for predictable, high quality of outcomes resulting in good user satisfaction.

Your Duties

* Leading medium to large IT projects / programs for the airlines
* Make things happen, stay positive when the pressure mounts and have a strong drive. You will be communicating with senior stakeholders with very high expectations and strictly focused on outcomes and deliverables.
* Think strategically, making and executing business cases that hold up over long term
* Development of strategies and solutions for business processes in cooperation with the relevant business unit and IT management
* Management of the project staff, adequate design of the processes and organizational structure within the project.
* Keep colleagues, managers and stakeholders informed and up to date; with escalations to management if needed
* Producing solution proposals and coordinating them with the client
* Establish requirements and ensure they are implemented.
* Creating business cases as well as preparing and initiating the approval procedures
* Create test concepts and test cases and make sure they are used in testing

Requirements

* University or college degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
* Multi-year Project/Program Management experience (PMP certification advantageous)
* Solid core Project Management skills including financial management, planning, scheduling, reporting, resource management, communications, risk management, dependencies, scope, time quality & budget.
* Experience in Airline Ground Operations / Departure Control processes is an advantage
* Excellent communications skills on all levels (up / down / peers / cross team)
* Strong leadership skills, driving mentality and entrepreneurial thinking.
* Ability to take responsibility and to stay focused on delivering according to plan
* Known for hitting deadlines and staying within budget
* Fluent in German and English
* High commitment and dedication
