Business Analyst

About the role:

Virgin Australia are currently undertaking a significant program of work to overhaul our rostering and crew management systems. To succeed in delivering these operationally critical projects, we require an experienced Business Analyst to join the team and play a key role in liaising with business stakeholders to define their problems, opportunities, requirements and business processes.

With the view to provide quality and usable outcomes, you will be responsible for:

* Facilitating workshops within multiple streams of work

* Elicitation of business requirements to help model current and future state business processes

* Liaising with all areas across IT (including testing and development teams) to ensure requirements are understood and delivered

* Assessing and communicating the impact of issues and changes to your manager, project manager and stakeholders

You will also be integral to promoting Business Analysis best practice within the team and continually seeking new ways of improving work practices.

Please note that this is an 18 month fixed term contract.

What you’ll need:

To be successful in this role you will need to address the requirements below in your application. These include:

* Demonstrated background working on large, complex projects as a Business Analyst

* Strong experience working on IT system implementation projects

* In depth experience of process re-engineering techniques and modelling skills

* Proven leadership on large and complex projects

* Proven experience in analysing and documenting user requirements and processes as well as providing consulting services to testing and development teams through project delivery
