AA have the pleasure in supporting their client in West Sussex who need a Battery Technician to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for covering all functions associated with overhaul, test repair and assembly of Nickel-Cadmium and Lead Acid aircraft batteries.

To liaise with service contract customers, assist with packing and delivering of customer orders, goods inwards inspection and Health & Safety.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with all the testing and service activities. Ensure all receiving, stocking and shipping to comply with customer and hazardous requirements. Ensure all equipment is within calibration and specifications. Maintain charged stock and loaners.Assist in customer technical support and training. Ensure proper execution and organisation of all records and forms used in the workshop. Ensure that the shop and stock area is organised and clean. Control scrap areas and maintain accurate records.

Travel as required. Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met.Job Requirement Must have experience of servicing aircraft batteries.

Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal). PC experience with Excel and MS Office minimum.
