Pay rate : £30.00 p/h LTD

Duration: 12 months +

Shift pattern: 4 nights on (20:45 – 07:30), 4 days off.

 

Description

As a B1 Engineer you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the company’s fleet. Ensuring that the required standards are met and the operating programme is achieved in an efficient and safe manner. 

You will exercise your license / approval in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, rectification of defects, and will ensure maintenance is accomplished to the required standards and that the operating programme is achieved in an efficient and safe manner. 

You will also record and issue certificates of release to service for the work accomplished and review the work and resources allocated and required to ensure expedient rectification of defects

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will:

Hold EASA Part 66 B1 license and authorisation or equivalent on company aircraft (Airbus) A320

Able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation

Have Operational experience in a line or hangar maintenance environment 

Proven ability to communicate issues to management

High degree of customer focus – both internal and external

Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, in all levels of the organisation

Have a willingness to be flexible in order to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems and embrace change and drive improvements within the business

Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation

Demonstrate proficiency in IT

Candidates need to have the following Training Certificates;

 

Initial Human Factors

Initial Fuel Tank Systems Safety (CDCCL or SFAR88)

Initial EWIS

Human Factors Refresher (required if initial is 2 years old)

Fuel Tank Systems Safety refresher (required if initial is 2 years old)

EWIS refresher (required if initial is 2 years old)

 

Candidates please be aware that if you are successful in securing a contract with the company you will be subject to the company’s Referencing & Vetting process which includes a 5 year work history check and a criminal record check.

 

Airbus experience is essential.

Additional hours – on the 4 nights that the contractor has off, regulations allow them to work two of those shifts.  The additional hours are not guaranteed but could be available, the Base Manager tends to run the schedule 3 months in advance.  The reality is that on average, 2 extra shifts could be available per month.
