Job Role:
MPI have a requirement for Avionics Technical Instructors to work on site at (SAAE), MOD Lyneham, Chippenham, Wiltshire. SN15 4XX
This contract is for a minimum of 6 months (although this is not guaranteed), working 37 hours per week for 44.4 weeks per year.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Avionics Training Manager for classroom and practical instruction on a topic within the Avionics discipline and various allied subjects. Ancillary duties include lesson preparation and the production of training support material. Responsibilities comprise the control and supervision of students including the application of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
Previous experience as a Trainer/Instructor is preferred but not essential. This vacancy is classified as being in the Public Sector and In Scope for IR 35 regulations. Please see attached additional information. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact this Office.
Candidates must have served a recognised apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and have obtained an ONC, BTEC or NVQ in the Avionics Trade Discipline. Candidates should have at least 5 years practical experience in their trade.
£26.60 per hour LTD/£21.13 per hour PAYE
GENERAL
Candidates must have served a recognised aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and possess an appropriate National Qualification and have at least 5 years experience in that trade or specialisation.
Applicants will be required to undertake a trade related test and deliver a 15 minute lecturette at the interview stage. Selected candidates will be informed by the recruiting line manager of suitable lecture subjects.
The successful applicant will have to apply for a DBS Certificate and complete MOD BPSS Security Clearance forms.
