Avionics Project Engineer

Position Description

Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Avionics Project Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

The engineer in this role will support our Avionics Product Development through design of highly complex electronics for various DoD manned and unmanned airborne platforms. This position will support projects involving electronics hardware, firmware, and software design for military applications. Candidate will work with the customer and engineering team to help define requirements, resulting architecture, and program plans. Candidate will be expected to work programmatic questions with the customer and resolve technical uncertainty to keep the development effort on task. The successful candidate for this role will be able to understand customer intent and lead our engineering team in development of the optimal engineering solution.

As part of this position, candidate will need to bring technical expertise to bear on challenges and problems that may arise. Projects typically involve diverse technology areas including analog/digital circuits, software, firmware, programmable logic, embedded systems, and MIL-STD environments. Project environments at times are fast paced and quickly changing due to a variety of influences.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or closely related) from an ABET accredited university.

Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience demonstrating a strong technical background.

Must have Project Engineer experience for Electronics Design

Candidate must demonstrate an ability to work technical details with a diverse engineering staff as well as interact with stakeholders with and without technical backgrounds.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

* Candidate should demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment and work to find solutions to challenges involving multiple stakeholders.

Security Requirements

* Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
