JOBSUMMARY



This hourly,non-exempt position requires a basic knowledge of aircraft avionics andelectronics systems. The job includesvarying amounts of parts replacement or repair, electrical troubleshooting andGeneral :
mechanical applications. Jobduties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader in charge ofthe project or Avionics Installation Manager. May be required to work independently.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


*

Thisshall include, but not be limited to items such as, removal and installation ofpanels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionicsinstallations.

*

Stamp,bundle and install connectors on wiring.

*

Removalof old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.

*

Troubleshootingand evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.


*

Aircraftmovement and assistance in hangar stack when required.

*

Maintenanceand repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.

*

Workindependently on projects when required.

*

Workwithin a team process.

*

Anyother job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education

*

High school diplomaor equivalent.

Electronicstraining classes.

Avionicstraining preferred.

Experience

*

1 year priorexperience on aircraft avionics maintenance installations preferred.

Turbineaircraft experience preferred, but not essential.

Initiative

*

Self-motivated andable to maintain a rapid pace.

Responsibility

*

Attend work every day asscheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Notifysupervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Musthave reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Mustperform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Follow allcompany and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintaincustomer oriented work habits.

PhysicalRequirements

Lift at least50 lbs.

MentalRequirements

Understandingand implementation of regulations and guidelines.



Follow wiringdiagrams, route and terminate wires at proper locations.

Troubleshoot, evaluateand perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.

Work withothers in a professional manner.



Supervision

Will work undersupervision of assigned Team Leader and Avionocs Program Manager.

Work withminimal supervision when required.


Working Conditions :
The majorityof work will be accomplished in a heated hangar.

Work outsideduring aircraft runs will occur.

Variedpositions in and around the aircraft.

Personal hand tools supplied bythe mechanic.

Pneumatic,hydraulic and electrical equipment.

Jacks, stands,lifts and other support devices.

Tugs, powercarts and other engine powered equipment.

Crimpers,soldering iron and heat guns.
