About the Role

The Avionics and Systems fleet engineer will ensure delivery of Maintenance Programme changes, configuration changes and Technical Data review to improve the cost per flight hour of aircraft systems and avionics in accordance with the Client and Regulatory requirements. You will also provide pro-active operational support, making technical contributions to decisions on engines, airframes and components for technical support, repair, modification, replacement and alternatives. 

Location Auckland or Christchurch.

About You 

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications and skills: 

You must have a Trade Certificate or NZCE, LAME or NZIM Management Diploma or have relevant industry experience with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience preferred.

  • Specialist in the following: aircraft systems, avionics.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in producing technical data in a timely fashion.
  • The stature, knowledge, personality and communication skills to rapidly gain credibility with engineers, technicians and managers, both internally and externally, and to influence key decision makers 
  • A commitment to on-going maintenance of professional standards and the development of relevant capabilities
  • Decisive and self-starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a very demanding environment
  • Commitment to the value of teamwork and sharing of information and experience and an ability to contribute constructively to the overall change process the company is working through
  • Confidence in relationship building and possess the personality to influence others to provide information and to make things happen
  • Commercial acumen, intellect and a professional in their field, who is seen as a valued advisor and business partner by his/her manager and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate views convincingly, and to influence others to adopt their course of action.
