The AV Systems Engineer is in charge of the system engineering from pre-sales design to final commissioning of assigned A/V projects. It is the primary job of the AV Systems Engineer to manage all assigned A/V system design and engineering functions working with operations team to configure and complete the installation of assigned projects on time and under budget.
Position Requirements:
• Sales support system proposal and design
• System design, engineering, plans and submittals
• System programming (Control systems, DSP, etc.)
• Test, balance and document system as installed
• Technical training for End Users
• Build/Wire AV system headend requiring high technical expertise
Education: Post-secondary with certification in A/V System Engineering or related areas
Experiences: Large Control system and Sound / AV design and install
Skill Sets:
-Control system design and programming
- Sound System configuration, rigging and headend design
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Ability to stay on schedule and follow up on tasks.
-Strong technical/organizational skills
-Audio-Visual system design and installation
-Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
-Creston or AMX certified programmer (desired but not required)
Competencies:
-AutoCad basic 2D drafting skills
-EASE Audio Simulation Software
