Job Description
What You’ll Get to Do:
Be part of a team on the Command and Control System – Consolidated (CCS-C) Production and Sustainment Contract (CPASC) project to determine optimal approach for automating existing test procedures while assuring compliance with applicable specifications. This includes identifying and recommending characteristics that optimize ability to be tested or to provide test data for diagnostic purposes. Combine contractual needs and requirements into automated system test solutions that accomplish technical, and schedule constraints. Modify existing test procedures to capture automation developed actions. Support informal and formal execution of automated test procedures.
More About the Role:
* Create overall approach for test automation for multiple projects.
* Writes automated test scripts using a combination of both SmartBear TestComplete and JScript to support system integration and test activities.
* Development and execution of integration scripts and capabilities-based test cases toward validation of System requirements.
* Perform and/or support the System Test Team process to ensure that regression test procedures are testable, developing automated regression tests scripts for execution during quarterly releases in a formal test activity.
* Identify and log defects and track them through closure using respective CM tools
* Ensure correct configuration of workstations and operating environments as needed to complete automated testing.
* Report automated test results and maintain schedules for assigned automations and functionality.
* Actively participates as a member of the Automation Test team for accountability of assigned projects.
* Participate in the preparation and delivery of Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) to ensure process compliance as well as readiness for software to be placed into test and deployment environments.
* Provides technical expertise on specific products, operating systems and specialized environments when needed.
* Resolve complex technical issues in primary area of competence.
* Typically deal with several tasks at the same time.
* Assists Test Team with improving test automation skills.
* Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Secret clearance is required
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
* 2-3 years of experience in a software-testing or software-development role or equivalent experience
* Possesses strong theoretical knowledge in software testing processes and methodologies
* Demonstrable experience coding and executing automated test scripts
* Experience in automated and/or script-driven testing (preferably SmartBear TestComplete)
* Experience with scripting languages (preferably JScript)
* Experience with modular software development and software/scripts built for reuse
* Must be able to effectively communicate key technical issues with a diverse customer and stakeholder community
* Must possess strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment
* Must have working knowledge of Microsoft toolset including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
* Must be able to obtain Security+ Certification
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
* Experience testing software to include developing and implementing test plans, test procedures, and test reports
* Knowledge of requirement analysis
* Knowledge of automated testing tools (TestComplete in particular)
* Knowledge of scripting languages (VBScript, JScript, C++Script, C#Script, Python, DelphiScript)
* Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.
* Understanding of the complete software life cycle.
* Knowledge of working within the DoD or AFSCN domain
* Ability to evaluate test procedures and design appropriate automation scripts.
* An understanding of software testing, concepts and philosophies; creative problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of virtual environment.
