Moog is looking for an Associate Software Engineer in Torrance, CA. This position is located at our growing aerospace plant in Torrance, CA. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of software for Test Stands that test flight-critical actuation systems. This includes designing, coding, debugging, and documenting software. You will spend time in our development test lab where you will observe and interact with moving parts and components for electromechanical test stand equipment. Here are the key responsibilities: * Develop software for flight actuation system test stands * Work independently and as part of a team of Software Engineers to troubleshoot test stand issues. * Document and update software deployed on automated test stands. * Interface with the end user to ascertain the needs and converge on an optimal solution that is cost efficient. * Work with project engineers, engineering drafters, and test technicians addressing changing design requirements. Basic Qualifications include: * Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering * Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) Preferred Qualifications Include: * Work experience in a Test/ Engineering Lab; or other hands-on mechanical experience * Experience with Python * Experience with automated Test Stands * Experience with dSpace and/or Labview ecosystems * Good technical writing skills * Experience with verification and documentation of software deployed on automated test stands * Experience with commercially available test software products and shell scripting.
