Primary Responsibilities:

* Mechanical design and development of ram air turbines (RATs) for aerospace applications.
* The work includes hardware analysis, manufacturing support, mechanical design and engineering development and qualification testing.
* Investigate electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical hardware failures to determine the root cause.
* Provide product support engineering for the mechanical designs of legacy and current production RATs.

Qualification:
Basic Qualifications
* 0-3 years of related experience
* Candidate should have an interest in mechanical rotating hardware analysis but also enjoy working /resolving hardware manufacturing and test related issues.
* Experience in performing product and component development and qualification (including performance and environmental) testing is desired.
* The position requires self-motivation, resourcefulness, good written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment with support organizations.
* An understanding of electric machines and rotating mechanical hardware construction is beneficial for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior UTC COOP/internship or full-time experience
* Background in mechanical design and analytical tools is a plus.

Education:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics
* Master of Science preferred
