This Associate Engineer, Hydro-Mechanical Design is an entry-level Mechanical Engineer. The Associate Engineer participates in product development activities, executes tests, and produces parts, designs, or sketches, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Participate in product development activities including cost estimates, implementation of standard specifications, drawing board layout, and development of performance or maintenance requirements.
* Execute tests for systems, sub-systems, and components. Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives.
* Follow all appropriate design, safety, and qualification standards in development programs.
* Test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects.
* Produce parts, designs, or sketches for components and systems
* Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems in areas including, but not limited to, mechanical, thermal and hydraulic
* Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
* May evaluate and analyze various mechanical products to determine their cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and less than 3 year experience or
* High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6+ years experience

Education:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:

* Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution
