Role Purpose

To act as a business partner to management in formulating and implementing risk analytics capability including but not limited to data analytics, quantitative risk assessment and Key Risk Indicators(KRIs) aligned to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programmefor the whole Company within the group.

Key Accountabilities

1) Formulate the enterprise wide risk appetite statement / metric thresholds for the whole Company within the group and provide guidance in the integration of risk appetite / metric thresholds with Business Planning, Budget Planning and Resource Planning to help enable business and management decision.

2) Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and proactively identify risk trigger limits and KRIs data source for tracking and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks before it materialises and consequently integrate KRIs with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the whole Company within the group.

3) Provide forward looking strategies by formulating data analytics through various channels including but not limited to financial information, statistics and incident reports to recommend improvements to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future.

4) Conduct risk management workshops focusing on KRIs and Risk Appetite Statement, training and awareness programs to integrate ERM with organisational business process and advocate the value of effective risk management practices throughout the MAG Group and contribute to the development and maintenance of the KRIs including and not limited to development of tools and instructional guides for the business

Qualification & Experience

Degree in business or aviation and /or a professional qualification and/or a recognized risk management/business continuity professional certification and/or risk management / business continuity exposure within the aviation industry is an added advantage (e.g Certified ERM / BCM Professional, Safety Risk Management, Operational Risk Management) with 4-5 years experience in related risk analytics and/or strategic planning and/or corporate category strategy experience.

Skills & Knowledge

Able to conduct training effectively and independently

Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with all levels of employees and external parties

Posess and demonstrate good leadership skils

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)

Key Challenges

Defining a common risk language

Demonstrating the benefits/value of ERM (e.g. cultural issues)

Establishing ownership for particular risks and responses

Identifying risks and quantifying potential damage

Formulate data analytics for forward looking strategies

Developing KRIs to ensure the risks are managed proactively

Risk reporting- deciding what information should be shared and how

Formulating the risk appetite statements

Lack of reliable data & insufficiency of technology (MIS)
