For our office in Berlin Tegel, Germany, we´re looking for:

Asset Manager Technics (m/f) (full-time)

Germania Fluggsellschaft mbH is seeking candidates for a technical manager position in its Asset Management Department. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for all technical aspects related to aircraft sourcing, leasing, financing and strategic fleet development. He or she will also serve as a project lead to coordinate the management of the full phase-in and phase-out of aircraft in the fleet, including scheduling tasks, coordinating internal teams with lessors and aircraft purchasers and inter-departmental communication.
He or she will work in a small, dynamic team of technical, commercial and legal experts that is responsible for managing the company’s fleet development needs.

Key requirements:

* University master degree in aviation engineering or similar qualification
* At least 2-3 years of experience at an airline or lessor in similar position
* Detailed A320 family aircraft technical knowledge in respect of technical specifications and maintenance requirements
* Detailed knowledge of the EASA Part M regulatory requirements in particular for maintenance and maintenance documentation
* Several years of experience in aircraft transactions – lease returns and deliveries
* Must have native or near native level English and German verbal and written skills
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization and with external parties
* Strong negotiating skills with both technical and financial/commercial issues
* Ability to evaluate risk factors regarding technical and commercial decisions;
* Ability to work independently under time pressure

Responsibilities:

* Assessment of aircraft and engines in respect of their configuration, technical and maintenance status
* Commenting and negotiating of aircraft and engine sale, purchase and lease agreements with focus on technical and maintenance terms and their commercial impacts
* Negotiation of Maintenance Reserve payments for leased aircraft
* Optimizing of existing aircraft lease agreements
* Responsible for the complete aircraft in- and out-phase process
* Redelivery program development and implementation
* Responsible for the technical conditions of aircraft at phase in and negotiating any settlements relating to it
* Negotiating, selection and oversight of external consultants for aircraft transaction support;
* Supporting the project teams on site - if required; and
* Supporting maintenance reserve claims related to company’s fleet

Profile:

The best candidate will

* have at least three years of experience in aircraft in- and out-phases at an airline with aircraft lease contract negotiations
* be able to organize and prioritize projects across various internal departments
* have project management skills and a demonstrable ability to work under pressure according to tight timescales
* be able to quickly understand and become commercially aware of the company’s developing strategy on an on-going basis
* be self-motivated, comfortable working with limited supervision while supporting a collegiate atmosphere that values team players
* be able to multi-task by providing direct technical support on day-to-day matters, while simultaneously supporting high-value, business critical transactions
